“No hay reformas sin cambios, ni cambios sin ideas creativas”

In the Peruvian Amazon, the NGO Educación para el Desarrollo Amazónico (EDA-Yurimaguas) collaborates with local communities on projects that focus on education, the preservation of Indigenous knowledge, the promotion of cultural identity, and community self-management of local resources.

EDA-Yurimaguas is currently running three projects:

• Escuela Modelo en la Amazonía: an environmental school at the preschool and primary levels
• Chakra Educativa: environmental protection and hands-on environmental education
• El Rugir del Alma: cultural promotion

EDA-Yurimaguas receives support from ED'Amazonía, an association based in Zurich, Switzerland.
